1.Before putting together the hydraulic system, make sure parts like the oil tank, hoses, and connections are clean. Check the oil tank for things like welding debris, metal pieces, or rags. A good way to clean the oil tank is to use dough to pick up any loose dirt. Hoses can have rubber pieces and metal shavings inside, so they need to be cleaned out before being put into the system.
2.During assembly, try to keep dust out and avoid dirtying the parts. For example, don't do things like grinding or painting in the assembly area, because that can create dust. Always cover pipe and flange openings to keep dust out, and only remove the covers when connecting parts. When you stop working, make sure to close up any open pipes. Keep the hands of the workers (and if using gloves, make sure they're the right kind) and the tools clean.
3.When putting the coupling on the oil pump shaft, don't hit the shaft with a hammer. The shaft has special threads for installing the coupling, so you can use them to press the coupling on.
4.When connecting the pump to the motor cover, make sure there's a small gap between the pump and the cover. Once everything is lined up, you can push the pump in all the way, instead of forcing it with bolts.
